England fans across south London and went ballistic as the Three Lions scored twice reach the World Cup semi-final for the first time in 28 years.

Church Street and Friargate traffic was stopped as hundreds of football fans leapt for joy in the summer sunshine.

To be fair to the 29-year-old, though - it is coming home.

England will face off against the victor of Saturday's match between Russian Federation and Croatia for a spot in the World Cup final.

"I'm a football person", the England manager said.

"Of course, we're feeling the energy and warmth from home as well, which I think for a lot of the players hasn't been their experience with England".

"We were brilliant at set-pieces, crosses into the box and we are buzzing".

"Most of our boys have played in the Championship or lower, whether they started there or played on loan there".

"I think England are definitely a good side", admitted AC Milan fan Michelangelo". After England won a corner, Maguire got his head on a attractive ball from Ashley Young to give the Three Lions the lead just 30 minutes into the match. We knew we would have the majority of the ball and it was a case of breaking them down because Sweden are a really well organised team. "I wish them every bit of luck".

"I suppose deep down I've always held those beliefs and held my own values", Southgate said.

He said: "Everyone is together with England and there is more positivity about them than in previous tournaments". The deliveries have been brilliant and we have managed to get our heads on them.

In the build up to the game, social media was flooded with memes of Maguire talking to his girlfriend following England's win over Colombia with captions differing based on his relaxed stance.

"They've got a blend of youth, experience, technical ability, very good".

"And I think what's impossible about it is to keep everybody happy". On the other hand they haven't pressure from the press and fans for the first time.

"Maguire has been a giant in both boxes right throughout the tournament", Southgate said.
