Jazz wrap up local Summer League with win over Hawks

Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young and Utah Jazz rookie Grayson Allen got into a brief altercation Thursday in the final game of Utah Jazz Summer League.

Allen then got closer to Young and the players got their arms tangled up.

If so, you should be extremely excited to watch him as an National Basketball Association rookie.

"That's not the first time Grayson has gotten tangled up with someone", Young told reporters after the game, "but it's not the first time and last time I'm going to get tangled up with someone". Both players were given technical fouls, while Allen also received a personal foul for the initial contact. Sometimes when that happens, the player will go to the Knicks, and a bunch of people boo, because the NBA Draft occurs in NY, and a sect of Knicks fans have booed everyone who has been drafted by the team since Patrick Ewing.

Young was struggling from the field whereas Allen was playing fairly well, contributing 4 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds, before getting into it with Young on Thursday. Grayson is a physical player.

We've outlined a few takeaways from the Hawks Utah Summer League jaunt, as well as a look ahead to the team's debut in the much more in-depth Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday. Knox lead the way for NY, going for 22 points and eight rebounds, both team highs.
