Infinity War's Thanos inspires one of the biggest bans in Reddit history

Thanos Subreddit Bans Half Its Users in a Tribute to Infinity War Kevin Burwick

The Thanos Did Nothing Wrong subreddit is about to get a massive makeover in a few days

The number of casualties could be even greater as the more subscribers join. The Joe Russo Reddit account added a selfie-video from Thanos actor Josh Brolin's Instagram to the thread making the upcoming cull official.

While some fans are still feeling low over the events that unfolded in Avengers: Infinity War, the others are completely enticed by the film's antagonist Thanos played by Josh Brolin. The r/Thanosdidnothingwrong Reddit lieutenants warned Screen Rant that half of its users would find themselves banned from the group at random on July 9th.

Since the Russo Brothers posted the video, which was shortly before 10 AM Pacific time, the initial tweet has gained over 4.6 thousand likes and it's been retweeted over 1,000 times. The reenactment of Infinity War's climactic scene will be the largest mass banning the site has ever seen.

What do you think of Brolin's participation in the subreddit snap?

In addition to the balancing of the subreddit user universe, new subreddits have popped up for those unlucky souls who get banned.

The subreddit r/thanosdidnothingwrong (firstly, wow, not cool) is now home to 625,584 users, but half will be banned with a click of a mouse button. That won't happen until next year when the maybe-still-untitled Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019. Colter also took the opportunity to make a tongue-in-cheek reference to another of Brolin's characters: the Mad Titan, Thanos. Precisely, since the output of the feature film, the artists who have participated in the creation of places have begun to reveal their sketches, and it is, to say the least unbelievable. It's not clear at what time the recreation of the Infinity War snap will take place, but make sure to have your Reddit notifications turned on to learn your fate.

One subreddit will soon be perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
