DJ Khaled cancels festival appearance after posting “still on vacation” photos

DJ Khaled on vacation and not at Wireless Festival

The head honcho of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) also invited label mate Mayorkun to perform "Che Che Che" and "Mama".

As it turns out, Wireless Festival organizers actually knew for months that DJ Khaled wouldn't be able to make it overseas for his previously announced headlining set.

But Wireless had promised that they were working on something special "that won't disappoint" to compensate for Khaled missing the event.

Early on Sunday morning, he posted a picture of the pool area at night, along with the caption: "Still in the pool!"

They don't want you to see DJ Khaled at Wireless Fest-watch some clips of Drake's not-so-last-minute appearance below instead. "Swipe to left for more vibes".

Hours before climbing on stage, Davido had been spotted backstage wearing a red top with the inscription, "Long Live Olu", which is a tribute to his late friend, DJ Olu, who died mysteriously in 2017.

Others have speculated that Canadian rapper Drake may fill DJ Khaled's space at the festival. Luckily, Drake stepped in to save the show.

Another wrote: "LOL Wireless are hilarious".

The audience at the recently held Wireless Festival in the United Kingdom loved Davido so much that they were ready to fight to keep him on the stage.

The Wireless Festival was held on the weekend of Friday July 6 - July 8, and had Nigeria's Davido performing on the second day of the event alongside other global acts like Stormzy, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Migos.
