The Queen and prominent members of the royal family have led national celebrations as the Royal Air Force marks a century since its formation.

The Queen has been joined by royal family members including the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a service to honour the RAF at Westminster Abbey.

It's been reported that, now she's married to Prince Harry, Meghan has to adhere to a series of royal clothing decrees - first and foremost that tights should be worn at all events.

The outlet reported that Kate felt the celebration was important to be at if she was feeling up to it. She also wore the diamond and ruby RAF Dacre brooch, which was given to her in 2015.

This isn't the first time Kate's come off maternity leave temporarily.

This is only Meghan's second balcony appearance, after first stepping out for Trooping The Colour in June.

She's expected to make her official debut back into the workforce in September, however.

Kate last wore the broach - once the highest award any woman of the rank could achieve - during a service for the 75th anniversary of the RAF Air Cadets in 2016. Markle finished the look with a fascinator by Stephen Jones and a matching pair of heels and bag by Dior.

Kate also stepped out in her go-to designer on Monday for Prince Louis's Christening.

The 36-year-old pinned the priceless piece on the fold of her pale blue Alexander McQueen coat dress.

According to Harper's Bazaar, Kate wore a white dress with puff sleeves and a midi-length hemline.

Diana's favourite flower was the white rose, leading observers to think Kate was making a subtle tribute to her.
