If you know a soon-to-be college graduate who wants to get noticed, tell them not to pose alone for their graduation picture. She recently posted the photos with the caption: "Not your typical graduation picture".

Noland posted videos to her Facebook page on May 27th, saying that was the first time Tex let her feed him. The photos showed her standing next to an enormous alligator named Tex at Gator Country, a Beaumont-based rescue center where Noland has interned since May.

She tells Yahoo! That Big Tex "has the personality of a puppy". Since its publication on Friday, Noland's post has more than 200 shares and it only keeps growing.

After donning her graduation cap, Ms Noland waded into the water with the animal and placed a ring commemorating her graduation on its nose.

She added: "Big Tex has a world record for the largest alligator caught alive".

Gator Country park claims Tex holds the title as the "largest live-captured nuisance alligator" and the largest reptile at the park.

Reactions to the photos - both positive and negative - have inspired Noland to continue her mission to educate the public. He will rise out of the water if she gives him the command 'Up, up, up'.

Noland thanked "everyone who has shared my posts and given me all of this support" on Facebook earlier today.

And it has been the flawless place for Mackenzie who said she has always been "picking up snakes and holding animals" from an early age. "We call him out of the den and I tickle his nose. Whenever we go into any other alligator's pond he's up there looking at us, making sure we're OK", Noland said.
