A brushfire near Kibbutz Re’im east of the Gaza border
Local media said that an Israeli reconnaissance plane fired a rocket on a group of Palestinians gathering near a position of Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement, in Ashkelon.
The military said the tank responded to shots fired at soldiers from the post.
"We can make it so that the enemy doesn't know peace", he said, with similar statements coming also from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
The Gaza Health Ministry confirmed the two deaths.
The incident came after Egyptian-brokered talk to achieve cease-fire between Israel and Hamas reached an impasse.
According to the group, Israeli forces have killed more Palestinian children since January this year than in any previous year of the past decade, outside of large-scale Israeli military offensives. The video then cuts to separate footage of a shell hitting the post and an explosion.

The tension in Gaza has been high since the Palestinians launched massive anti-Israel rallies in March, known as "the Great March of Return", which demanded the lift of the blockade Israel has imposed on Gaza since 2007.
