Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay video

Arthur Morgan and his gang of outlaws are causing more trouble as they try to survive in a world where outlaws are becoming irrelevant and modern technology is starting to have a much greater influence. Although the October release date is only a couple of months away, Rockstar has revealed a new video that features plenty of gameplay footage that should tide over the masses until its autumn release.

So far, Rockstar has released screenshots and cinematic trailers for Red Dead Redemption 2, giving us a tease of what's to come.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the previous entry in the series, set in the late 1890s.

What do you think about the new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer?

As previously stated, you play as Arthur Morgan, part of the Van der Linde Gang. We see prompts for Greet, Defuse, Antagonize, Threaten, Dismiss, Beat, Rob, and Choke, among others. It won "Game of the Year" accolades from a number of publishers and sold over 15 million copies so it's not hard to understand why even if you didn't get to play it.

The video above lays out some of the core components of "Red Dead Redemption 2", including gun fights, interaction with non-player characters, hand-to-hand combat, a morality system, trading, and horse management.

Red Dead Redemption II - what kind of man will you make Arthur?

And that means, just as fans would hope and expect, that this could end up being the best-looking console video game of the generation.

Rockstar Games will release a number of new trailers that detail key aspects of the game, including quests, gunfighting, exploration and more.
