Everton Complete Triple Deal For Bernard, Mina, and Andre Gomes

Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes join Everton

Everton boss Marco Silva has insisted that Phil Jagielka still has a part to play for the club this season.

The clubs agreed a permanent deal for Mina worth £27.2m (€30.25m) rising to £28.5m (€31.75m), while Andre Gomes joins on a season-long loan.

Barcelona confirmed the deal for Gomes that will see Everton pay the Portugal global midfielder's wages for the full season, while also paying a loan fee of £2m (€2.25m).

The 25-year-old had been a free agent since leaving Shakhtar Donestk at the end of last season and was inundated with offers, particularly from the Premier League.

While Bernard was finalising his transfer at Everton's Finch Farm training ground a club delegation led by the director of football, Marcel Brands, concluded deals for Mina and Gomes in Barcelona.

'The manager made me feel confident I wanted to play here because of what he's done in the past.

Silva will have two new Toffees signings available for the trip, with Richarlison and Lucas Digne both in the travelling party and ready to make their competitive debuts for the club.

"I chose Everton because of all the things I had heard about Marco Silva and after speaking to him I was happy with what he said to me", Bernard told Evertontv.

But Tottenham Hotspur ended the window as the only club not to bring in a new player while Manchester United were unable to bring in the central defender they were reported to be keen to recruit.

"All those we signed showed me they really want to come".
