Kanye did not say what his answer would have been, nor did he explain why he didn't insist on answering the question when Kimmel returned from commercials.

West seemed lost for words and sat in silence mulling over the question for a few seconds.

In response, Kimmel tweeted, "Not every question warrants an immediate answer".

West took to Twitter on Saturday (Aug. 11) to respond to the critics who claimed the outspoken rapper had been defeated in a debate.

West was discussing his support for Trump and questioning why people go after the president instead of trying "love" when Kimmel pointed to the policy that separated families caught crossing the border illegally. And then I was hit with the let's go to commercial break.

Kanye West appeared to be rendered speechless when Jimmy Kimmel asked him whether Donald Trump cared about black people. The question was so important I took time to think.

It looks like there are no hard feelings between West and the talk show host as the rapper ended the stream of tweets by saying, "I appreciate Jimmy and his team".

West was notably silent on the show when he was asked why he thinks the president cares about black people. And it takes too much ownership, but you can replace pride with love. "The interview showed strong personalities with different opinions having a civil conversation". During the interview, Kimmel and West touched on a number of topics, including fashion, music, married life, and of course, Donald Trump.

He also landed in hot water this May when he said slavery "sounds like a choice".

Tatum praised West on "Fox & Friends" for not backing away from his Trump support.

It's called "XTCY" and it involves West rapping about how he "would smash" all four sisters of wife Kim Kardashian. And that's when you get these comments that just shoot out, nearly like Tourette's'.
