First look at Ruby Rose as Batwoman no responses

First Image of Ruby Rose as Batwoman Reveals a New Caped Crusader

Staying true to the comics, Ruby is rocking fiery red hair and Batwoman's signature suit in the first look of Ruby in the costume. This gorgeous version of the costume was designed by none other than frequent Tim Burton collaborator and four-time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood!

After her introduction in Elseworlds, the plan is for Batwoman to transition to her own standalone CW show for the 2019 fall TV season.

Earlier this week, producer Greg Berlanti told The Hollywood Reporter that Rose is "terrific in the role, and we're excited for people to see the story". The crossover is also scrambling up the regularly scheduled programming by swapping around the dates these series usually air - Flash will take over Supergirl's Sunday slot to kick things off, moving on to Arrow on Monday, and then Supergirl on Tuesday.

Rose's casting elicited some angry social media reactions when it was revealed that Batwoman would be a lesbian, making her the first LGBT superhero to headline a live-action series. Decades later, she was rebooted as Kate Kane, an openly lesbian superhero.

Ruby Rose is answering the Bat-Signal, and she looks awesome doing it. "In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope". Not only is the three night event travelling to Gotham City and introducing Ruby Rose as Batwoman, but the aptly-titled Elseworlds will also include characters like Superman, Nora Fries, Lois Lane, and The Monitor.
