The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees have been announced.

The 2019 induction ceremony will be held Friday, March 29 at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. Rounding out the nominees are Def Leppard, Devo, MC5, John Prine, The Cure, Roxy Music, The Zombies, and Todd Rundgren.

On the other end of the spectrum, LL Cool J and Kraftwerk have now been nominated five times, but are still waiting for the call to the hall.

Janet Jackson, a five-time Grammy victor, will have a third chance to gain induction after failing to make it in her first two times on the ballot.

Fans can also participate by going to rockhall.com and can cast votes for the artist they believe to be most deserving.

This year's batch of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees bring us a list of those up for induction into the hallowed institution of music history.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is getting ready to induct another band/artist for 2019. It counts as just one voice among the hundreds of other ballots.

Artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination to be eligible.

The nods are a first for Def Leppard, Devo, Prine, Roxy Music, and Rundgren, as well as the first as a solo artist for Nicks, a member of Fleetwood Mac who was previously inducted with the rest of the group in 1998.
