Google reveals the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

With Google's new Live Albums feature, also available on Home Hub, you can "enjoy a constantly updating stream of photos of the people and pets you care about and skip blurry ones and duplicates", Bonner wrote. But here's the thing-not everything launched at the event will come to India. And the Pixel, as Google's marquee Android smartphone, is competing with a number of flagship devices crowding the market.
The US SIM-free price of the two devices starts at £739 for the Pixel 3 and £869 for the Pixel 3 XL. Pre-orders for the phones start online on 11 October on Flipkart and Airtel stores as well as offline partners including Reliance Digital, Croma and other leading stores across India.
On the front side, both phones have bigger displays - the Pixel 3 now has an 18:9 screen but maintains a similar size to its predecessor while the XL grows its display by 0.3-inches and includes a notch.
Under the hood, both the devices are packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC that comes mated to a 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB ROM (Non-expandable).
Although rumours are now swirling about the Google Pixel Slate, nothing has been officially confirmed by the tech company.
The Pixel line-up is known for its AI-enabled camera performance and Pixel 3 and 3 XL take it a bit further. Running Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, the new Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL handsets are backed by 2915 mAh and 3430 mAh batteries respectively with wireless charging. If you have smart security cameras or doorbells installed, you can view the feed on the Home Hub. With every other major smartphone manufacturer on the planet opting for dual- and, in some cases, triple-camera setups, Google must have plenty of confidence that its HDR+ algorithm will be able to deliver the goods once again.
While there wasn't much to unveil, Google officially revealed the hardware and software features that make the Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL, tick. With prices starting from $799, the Pixel 3 phones is offered in 3 colours - Just Black, Clearly White and Not Pink. It will be sold separately at ₹ 6,900. However, Google Pixel Slate will go on sale later this year in US, UK and Canada.
Google is also likely to roll out several other gadgets, including new version of its "smart" Home speaker, a rumored tablet with a detachable keyboard and an update to its Chromecast streaming device, based on media leaks. If you happen to spring for the optional $199 Pixel Slate Keyboard, you'll use the Slate in regular old Laptop mode when it's connected, which means interacting primarily with a cursor.
Like Amazon's Echo Show, the Google Home Hub has a touchscreen allowing users to not only hear responses to queries but also see them. The Home Hub can connect and interact with smart home devices via voice and touch controls and can control and schedule them according to your routines. Unlike those speakers, the Hub has a display to show you useful information. However, Google will ship each phone with a pair of Pixel Buds USB-C earphones which supports real-time translation, Google Assistant integration, and can even read out messages and compose replies.
