Samsung Galaxy A9 Quad-Camera Mid-Range Phone Image And Benchmarks Leak
Probably the biggest highlight of the Galaxy A9 is its quad-camera setup on a single side.
The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen that Samsung is branding an "Immersive Display", which as far as we can tell is marketing term to differentiate between the dual-curved "Infinity Display" technology found on the flagship Galaxy S9 and Note 9.
But, the most eye-catching thing about this smartphone has to be its ridiculously long camera module which houses all four sensors, each with its own goal.
Powering the phone is a 3,800mAh which Samsung says should provide all-day power and the device comes with 128GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
They include a 24-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
Besides that, the Galaxy A9's camera also feature the company's Scene Optimiser scene-recognition software that can recognise up to 19 different scenes, and Flaw Detection, where the phone will actually inform you if you've taken a bad shot.
Samsung is set to put all the rumors to rest when it launches the Galaxy A9 (2018) later today. The third camera is the main 24MP sensor with a wide f/1.7 aperture, while the fourth camera is a 5MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. A fingerprint scanner is present on the backside of the phone.
With four cameras on the rear glass case, Samsung is touting this device as the flawless offering for the Instagram generation. The front camera of the phone supports face unlock feature. Similar to the P20 Pro, the Galaxy A9 (2018) features a gradient around back that goes from pink, blue, or black at the bottom to a lighter hue of those colors at the top.
The Galaxy A9 will be available in the Philippines on December 1, with a suggested retail price of P32,990.
