Sajid Khan Accused Of Sexual Harassment By These Three Women
Ms Chopra accused Sajid Khan of harassing her mentally, emotionally and sexually.
The film "Housefull 4" also features Nana Patekar, who too is accused of sexual misconduct by actress Tanushree Dutta. "I will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve (sic)", the actor tweeted.
Director Sajid Khan, one among Bollywood's top brass, has been accused of sexual harassment by at least three women, even as the #MeToo movement gained momentum across the country. "Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through".
Responding to the accusations, filmmaker Sajid Khan too took to Twitter, he mentioned in his tweet that in the wake of the allegations against him, there is huge pressure being put on his family, producer and the actors of his film Housefull 4.
Shortly after, Akshay released a statement in which he announced that he has requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until the allegations against Sajid are investigated.
The cast of Housefull 4, produced by Sajid Nadiadwalla, also includes Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Sharad Kelkar, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda and Kriti Sanon. "This can not go on", Twinkle Khanna tweeted. This is something that required stringent action. He wrote, "I can not adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid's behaviour". Although as a director, Nadiadwala is just one film old, he has a long history in the industry as a producer and he has associated himself with well mounted films over the years.
As per the post of the actress, she had faced sexual and mental harassment from the director for several months. Among other allegations, Ms White said that Mr Khan told her she could get a role in his film (he was casting for 2014 film Humshakals) if she could "seduce him in 5 minutes".
Saloni Chopra further added that at times Sajid Khan would comment on how she lacked sexiness enough to give her that "Oomph" factor. On her Twitter page, Karishma Upadhyay shared what happened with her when she interviewed Sajid Khan in early 2000s.
