Le’Veon Bell Opens Up About Contract Holdout With Bizarre Tweets

Source ‘New’ info has Le’Veon Bell now contemplating whether he will sign tag
A former National Football League running back has alleged that Adisa Bakari, the agent for Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell, didn't understand until recently that Bell could receive a franchise-tag tender in excess of $25 million in 2019 even if he does not report this season. Pittsburgh resident John Maus, who posted a video of Bell on his Snapchat story, said the subject in his video is "110 percent Le'Veon" and his video was shot live.
Bell would surrender the final $6.84 million of his salary if he elects not to sign the franchise tender.
The talented running back tweeted Monday that he was leaving Miami, where he's spent most of his holdout, and was spotted playing pickup basketball at an L.A. Fitness club in North Pittsburgh on Tuesday, according to ESPN. The latest news coming from a cryptic tweet. Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, Bell must report to the Steelers by 4 p.m. ET next Tuesday or he will be ineligible for the remainder of the season, a source confirmed to ESPN.
"Just about everybody has an opinion on my life & anxious about what I'm doing", Bell wrote. I'm not going to apologize for what I believe is right for myself, family and the rest of my peers, period. Bell has made it clear over the past few months that he didn't sign the one-year franchise tender because he didn't want to risk his health, and on Wednesday, he stood by that decision.
This is incredibly significant because if Bell doesn't have to report this season in order to avoid another year of the franchise tag, why would he?
The Steelers are 5-2-1 this season with replacement running back James Connor recording 706 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.
