As one of four liberal justices on the nine-member court, her loss would give US President Donald Trump another opportunity to reinforce its conservative tilt.
"The last I heard she was up and working, of course, because what else would she be doing, and cracking jokes", Mr. Stiepleman told the outlet, "I can't promise they were good jokes but they were jokes".
"Justice Ginsburg, 85, went home after her fall on Wednesday evening and experienced discomfort during the night", the paper writes, based on a statement from a Supreme Court spokesperson.
"Ginsburg has had a series of health problems", reports AP. She has had two prior bouts with cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014. Before the offers had subsided, Ginsburg was already back home, her strength no doubt bolstered by her faithful workouts with Johnson.
Upon hearing of Ginsburg's injuries, anxious liberals took to Twitter to volunteer their own ribs to help with her recovery.
In 2012, she fell and broke two ribs, and in 2009 she was hospitalized after a negative reaction to medication.
The next sitting of the Supreme Court isn't until November 26th, so once again, she's not likely to miss a day of work.
