Cops Find Acid Used to Dissolve Journo’s Body at Saudi Consul’s Home - Reports
Turkey has evidence concerning the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi that it has not announced yet, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
"I'm unable to express my sorrow to hear about dissolving your body Jamal!" she wrote.
After weeks of denying involvement, the kingdom admitted Khashoggi had been killed at the consulate but claimed the Saudi royal family had no prior knowledge of a plot to murder him.
It is not yet clear when Sherman's bill will come up for a vote in Congress but the report said it wasn't going to come to the floor any sooner than January 3, when the new Democratic-controlled House of Representatives convenes.
"We gave them the tapes".
"They (Saudi officials) also listened to the conversations and they know".
Al Jazeera has learned on Friday that traces of acid were found at the Saudi consul general's residence in Istanbul, where the body was believed to be disposed of with the use of chemicals.
However, Erdogan has accused the "highest levels" of the Saudi government with ordering the hit, while some officials have pointed the finger at the all-powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Some were members of a death outfit known as the Tiger Squad, a team of assassins with close ties to MBS that is used to muzzle dissenters, MEE discovered.
MEE has previously revealed that seven of those sent to kill Khashoggi were members of the crown prince's personal security detail.
Khashoggi went missing on October 2 after entering the consulate to obtain documents for marriage procedures.
Erdoğan also said on that he may meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Paris during the commemorations.
"There's no need to distort this issue, they know for certain that the killer, or the killers, is among these 15 people".
Before his arrest, Al-Qahtani, who was sacked following the widely deplored killing of Khashoggi, had warned Saudi dissidents that those hiding behind fake names on Twitter would meet punishment. "Saudi Arabia's government can disclose this by making these 15 people talk", Erdogan said.
