'Westworld' Set Burns Down in California Wildfire
Western structures at Paramount Ranch in Agoura, Calif. was among the damage seen Friday from the Woolsey fire, which sparked Thursday night and so far has engulfed 10,000 acres and forced evacuations.
It remains to be seen whether the sets will be rebuilt for future production or if the next season of Westworld will feature the town of Escalante.
In a Twitter post, park officials said they "do not have any details or photos, but it is our understanding that the structures have burned".
Still, the Woolsey fire has reportedly devastated the Paramount location used for many Hollywood productions over the years, including Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Doctor Strange filmmaker Scott Derrickson has already lost his home in the blaze, Guillermo del Toro's Bleak House is also at risk, and those are just a couple of the people affected by these frightening fires.
Unfortunately, as a result of the Woolsey fire, the set has burned down at Paramount Ranch.

The HBO series is also shot at the Melody Ranch in Santa Clarita and in Utah and other locations.
One of HBO's most popular shows, Westworld has a cast of big names including Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton and Ed Harris that won the network nine Emmys.
In earlier times, television companies produced "The Cisco Kid" and "Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater" at the town, according to the recreation area's website.
'Westworld is not now in production, and as the area has been evacuated, we do not yet know the extent of the damage to any structures remaining there'.
HBO expressed concern for "all those affected by these frightful fires".
The ranch served as a location for productions ranging from 1938's "The Adventures of Marco Polo" to TV shows "The Mentalist" and "Weeds". He asked his almost two million Twitter followers to use the hashtag #CampFireJamesWoods to help share the names of those who are missing in a separate wildfire in Northern California.
The National Parks Service bought a portion of the original Paramount property in 1980 and revitalized the old movie ranch.
