The story in De Telegraaf about Frenkie de Jong moving to PSG for 75m euros has been denied, firstly by the player's agent and now by the midfielder himself.

However, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraph, the 21-year-old is likely to join PSG after the Ligue 1 club outbid City for his services.

De Jong told the Manchester Evening News earlier this week that he wants to finish this season well with Ajax.

Now it appears he is going to miss out on another target - De Telegraaf are reporting that De Jong has chose to sign for PSG, in a deal worth €75 million.

"With five games to go until the winter break, I just want to focus on this weekend's game against the PEC and the next one in the Champions League against Bayern Munich". 'Then we will see. Matthijs de Ligt has been on the radar of top Premier League sides including Liverpool, and the 19 year old could reject the chance to stay in the Netherlands beyond the summer. But I am not sure.

British papers have linked De Jong with Manchester City, who are also said to be prepared to pay the asking price, and with Barcelona. Have your say in the comment section below.

"I like to watch the great players, the ones who are technically good and understand the game", De Jong added. "I try to see how they move", he said.

'There are so many I look at, especially the midfielders. He also cites Chelsea midfielder Jorginho as one of his inspirations. His future has been the subject of much speculation, with the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona all said to be keen the youngster.

Step forward, Frenkie de Jong. There are so many to learn from.
