Man charged for kidnapping teenager and killing parents

Jeanne Nutter was walking her dog near the cabin she owns with her husband on 10 January when she encountered Jayme Closs coming out of nearby woods.

Jayme will soon be reunited with her family, officials said during a news conference on Friday. "Jayme is the hero in this case". Patterson quit, saying he was moving from the area, according to the company.

The 21-year-old suspect has been arrested and will appear in court on Monday.

The sheriff said he didn't know whether Jayme had been physically abused.

In the post, Jennifer writes 'Everyone is so proud of you, Jayme!'

Jake Patterson, 21, is accused of shooting and killing Jayme's parents before abducting the 13-year-old from her northwestern Wisconsin home on October 15.

"One of the things that helped me recover so quickly is that nobody forced me to talk about what happened", said Beers, 36, who is married and has two children. James Kuffel, the township's lone constable, said he knows nearly everyone in the area but has never encountered the Pattersons. He surrendered peacefully, authorities said. Authorities are now giving her time to settle into her new home before they question her again, the sheriff added.

Jayme was found Thursday outside the rural community of Gordon, where Patterson was holding her against her will in his home, authorities said.

The Kasinskas said Jayme's emotions were "pretty flat" while they waited for the police and she refused offers of food and water.

She brought Jayme to the home of neighbours Kristin and Peter Kasinskas, as it was farther away from where she found the teenager.

The grandfather of Jayme Closs, who authorities say was abducted during a home invasion that left her parents dead said on Saturday that the family has no connection to the suspect and doesn't understand why he targeted her, deepening a mystery that has captivated the United States for months. He said there is no evidence Patterson knew Jayme or her family or had been in contact with her on social media.

Mr Fitzgerald noted police information was "limited" and Jayme was still being interviewed, but she had been medically cleared and released from hospital. It is about a one-hour, 50-minute drive from Minneapolis, and is about 50 minutes from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Patterson, who was unemployed, remained largely an enigma Saturday. "She said that this person usually hides her or hides her when others are near, or when he has to leave the household". First, to celebrate her homecoming but also realize she will need time and space to adjust to life after what she's been through.

Almost three years ago, Patterson worked for one day at the same meat products facility where Jayme's parents worked - the Jennie-O Turkey Store plant in Barron.

Despite Erik Patterson's criminal record, few across the township seem to have heard of his family.

Patterson was in the county jail Friday and is keeping quiet after talking on the day of his arrest. "Call 911 right now!" He says Jayme told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents that she didn't know Patterson at all.

"I went to her and she just sort of grabbed onto me and she told me who she was".

"She [Closs] just yelled, 'Please help me, I don't know where I am". So we're determining, did he even let her go outside?
