Allen's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, has accused him of molesting her.

Director Woody Allen is suing Amazon for $68 million. Additionally, the suit suggests that Amazon's cancelation has interfered with the ability of Allen's production company, Gravier, "to meet certain obligations to outside investors and foreign distributors".

The more than $68 million Allen is seeking from Amazon includes additional payments for "A Rainy Day in NY", plus payments for the three other unfinished films.

The complaint further alleges that Patel's notice "did not provide any legal or factual basis" for the termination of the deal, and that Amazon's counsel "merely made the vague statement" that Amazon's participation in the deal "became "impracticable" because of "supervening events, including renewed allegations against Mr. Allen, his own controversial comments, and the increasing refusal of top talent to work with or be associated with him in any way, all of which have frustrated the purpose" of the original agreement's terms.

Woody Allen is gearing up for serious litigation against Amazon Studios, claims a report from Fox News.

Amazon sought to capitalize on Allen's fame to develop its "nascent entertainment studio", according to the suit, with a deal to "finance and distribute his future films and to be his "home" for the rest of his career".

The star-studded Rainy Day, which also stars Elle Fanning and Oscar nominee Jude Law, was supposed to be Allen's follow-up.

Right now, Allen is seeking at least $68 million in compensation for the botched deals arising from the loss of four movies.

Amazon's general counsel Ajay Patel allegedly told Allen's reps in January 2018 A Rainy Day in NY would be released but asked them to "push back" the release date to 2019, which Allen agreed to do. He's also aiming to retrieve the attorney and damage fees.

In January 2018, Chalamet revealed he donated his entire salary from the film to charities Time's Up, The LGBT Center in NY, and RAINN as he didn't "want to profit from [his] work". Allen has consistently denied the allegations.

Before the four-film contract, Amazon had produced three projects by Allen, a miniseries called "Crisis in Six Scenes" and the films "Cafe Society" and "Wonder Wheel".

The breach-of-contract lawsuit was filed with the US District Court in Manhattan overnight. Co-star Rebecca Hall made a pledge to do the same past year.
