Kyrie Irving of Boston Celtics exits with knee sprain

The Clippers were the team that sent the NBA trade deadline dominoes falling

For what it's worth, head coach Brad Stevens shouldered the brunt of the blame for the team's poor play. There were growing pains, especially in a sloppy first half, but the Clippers prevailed with significant contributions from three of the four newly acquired players.

Then Doc Rivers and his Los Angeles Clippers came to town and turned a 28-point deficit into a 123-112 win, shocking the Boston Celtics-to the point where internal issues are bubbling over.

Irving, 26, is averaging 23.6 points, 6.9 assists and 4.9 rebounds in 47 games (all starts) this season. It was the biggest comeback by a team in the National Basketball Association the past two seasons, the largest in Clippers history and Boston's biggest blown lead since December 5, 2003, coming two nights after the Celtics spit the bit on an 18-point lead in a 129-128 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. "It's just not fun", Morris said.

If Marcus Morris' recent comments are any indication, the Boston Celtics' locker room problems are showing no signs of going away soon. "So, I'll go back and figure out what I can do better, what we can do better, and we'll go from there". The Celtics are now fifth in the Eastern conference.

The Celtics may yet make an addition on the buyout market - perhaps Marcus Morris' twin Markieff or Enes Kanter - but they can not afford to lose Irving for an extended period of time. "When I look at us I just see a bunch of individuals".

"I watch all these other teams around the league and guys are up on the bench - they're jumping on the court, they're enjoying their teammates' success".

Morris said there are no more excuses with the trade deadline behind them. No one's getting traded; trade deadline is over.

"For us to be a championship team, this (stuff) has to change", Morris said. Whatever that takes, I'm with it. "I'm trying to win".
