The report surfaced soon after Brown tweeted a video with a caption that thanked Steeler Nation and stated it's "time to move on".

Whether Brown knows he is being traded, or whether he is simply trying to push the Steelers towards moving him, remains to be seen.

Twitter had an absolute meltdown on Tuesday afternoon when Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, Antonio Brown, announced a farewell from the team to his fans via social media.

Brown has been the subject of widespread trade speculation after he failed to show up to work the day before the season finale. ESPN reported shortly afterwards that he has officially asked the team for a trade. But the Steelers aren't giving the Patriots one of the best receivers in the NFL.

With all the needs this team has and Carson Wentz' impending contract extension, are the Eagles prepared to commit $12.6 million to Brown if does hit the trade market? He has since filed for custody of his daughter in the wake of the alleged incident. That means the Eagles, or any team that makes a move for Brown, would be landing him for a very reasonable $12.6 million next season with zero guaranteed for the rest of the deal. He's a four-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler who has racked up more than 9,000 receiving yards and 67 touchdowns in the last six seasons.

A judge found Brown guilty of reckless driving at a hearing Tuesday morning.
