"It's clear Ms. Zoia is the one who threw the chair", said Leslie.

On Monday, a video circulated around social media appearing to show a blonde woman, wearing all black, toss a chair off the balcony of the window of a building in Toronto. "Of course she would never wish that anybody be hurt", her lawyer, Gregory Leslie, said.

Zoia is charged with mischief endangering life, mischief endangering property and common nuisance.

The chairs landed near the front entrance of the towering condo, but there were no reports of injuries.

"Her or her representative arranged for her to surrender", said Toronto Police spokesperson David Hopkinson in an email to Daily Hive.

Zoia was also prohibited from contacting the other four people on the balcony or from possessing any weapons, ammunition, explosives or intimidating device.

After the video went viral, police asked the woman in the footage to surrender.

A source had told CityNews the woman has a criminal history and police have been in touch with her. Officers were giving her about 24 hours to turn herself in.

Neighbours told CTV News Toronto that they believed it was being operated as one that day. It was grossly irresponsible behavior that could have caused serious injury and death'.

Airbnb said Wednesday that it has contacted Toronto police and offered its support in the investigation.

"I just hope that people take from the example of the consequences that will follow this woman - that this is irresponsible behaviour that is unacceptable". "We are investigating whether any Airbnb guests were involved and we will be suspending any guest accounts that appear to be connected to this incident".
