Beto O'Rourke cheers as he listens to Bobby Pulido sing

Sen. Amy Klobuchar welcomed Beto O'Rourke to the 2020 presidential race on Thursday, telling CNN's Poppy Harlow in an interview that she believes more competition in the Democratic primary is good for the party and that she isn't anxious about the former congressman's fundraising prowess.

At any rate, in the announcement for his bid in the USA presidential election next year, he said through a video, "I am running to serve you as the next president". "I don't think anybody in that race knows what it's like".

"In Texas, we have a problem with broadband in rural communities", O'Rourke said. Elizabeth Warren and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, have also spoken of the need for the US government to reckon with and make up for centuries of stolen labor and legal oppression. Included on the Castro endorsement list were state Sens.

O'Rourke almost upset Sen.

In 2017, O'Rourke declared his candidacy for a Senate seat held by Republican Ted Cruz then a year after, in March 2018, he became the Democratic Party nominee, after gaining 61.8 percent of the primary vote.

O'Rourke's campaign did not reply to The Daily Caller News Foundation's request for comment.

After months of speculation, O'Rourke formally announced on Thursday that he would seek the Democratic presidential nomination to challenge Trump. The week O'Rourke lost the Senate race, President Obama called to congratulate him, and to invite O'Rourke to sit down and talk, if O'Rourke was interested.

In his interview with Vanity Fair, Beto O'Rourke also said that he was "born to do this", referring to his bid to be elected as the 46 president of the United State. "He asked about: What will this do to my family?"

According to a Breitbart story posted on February 12, 2019, O'Rourke claims the "Green New Deal" was the "best proposal that I've seen" - ignoring its $93 trillion price tag. "And, of course, he's someone that comes, like I do, from the center of the country".
